Children’s programs

At Samena, our School-age programs are packed with friendship, discovery, and fun in a safe and welcoming space parents can feel great about. From Before and After School Care to Summer Camp, Kid’s Night Out, Kids Day Away and more- we offer plenty of opportunities for children to laugh, learn, explore and build confidence.  Our programs get kids jumping into games, busy with creative activities, interested in new adventures and moving with active play while our caring staff encourage and facilitate along the way.

Before and After School Care

Our state licensed program is a great place for kids to actively engage with their peers in STEAM activities, games, and active play! Samena staff lead kiddos through a fun and balanced mix of organized activities and free choice time so kids can explore new and exciting interests while continuing to enjoy those they already love. Our team supports children as they navigate social interactions, develop new skills, and build confidence- all while enjoying the simple joy of being a kid.

Forging awesome bonds with children and parents is our jam in the Before & After Care Program, and we’re all about creating a space where every child feels safe, supported, and excited to be here.

Samena B&A staff are professionally trained in childcare, first aid, CPR, have passed background checks, and participate in annual professional development.

Care follows the Bellevue School District calendar and includes the Wednesday early release days.  Sibling discounts are available.  Choose 2-5 days per week with options of Before Care only, After Care only, or both.  Breakfast and PM snack are served using USDA guidelines.

Before School Care:
Morning Care opens at 6:30am.
Breakfast is served between 7:30am and 8am, and relaxed free play time is provided before children are driven and dropped off at school.  Children must arrive no later than 8:20am to receive transportation to school.

Transportation is limited based on registration.  Please inquire via email prior to registration.

After School Care:
After School Care closes at 6:30pm.

Our unique After Care program includes the following:

• Free swim Wednesdays and Fridays
• Discount on youth swim lessons and child drop off/pick-up to private and/or group lessons*
• Drop off/pick-up to Samena Swim Team practices*
• Drop off/pick-up to tennis lessons * (offered seasonally)
• USDA approved snacks
• Weekly Dungeons & Dragons group for grades 3-5
• Private outdoor playground
• Homework time- as needed
• Fun learning activities centered around Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math
• Transport to and/or from School (Morning transport is limited and based on registration)

*Lessons must be between 4-5:30pm.  Staff pick-up is not available for lessons and/or swim practices ending after 5:30pm.

After Care transportation is currently provided from:
Bennett, Lake Hills, Phantom Lake, Sherwood Forest, Spiritridge, and Puesta del Sol. Care can be provided to children attending schools other than those listed if independent transport is provided. Before Care transportation is limited based on registration.

Non-School Day & School Break Camps

Our Non-School Day and School Break Camps offerings vary each school year.  Non-School Day Camps are offered exclusively to our Before & After Care participants.

General Camp Information:

Camp runs 9:00am – 4:00pm, with optional AM and/or PM extended care available. Campers enjoy a day filled with fun and learning through active games, team building, STEAM experiments and activities, outside playground time and, of course, free swim (2x each day)!

Campers should bring a nut-free snack & lunch, water bottle, swimsuit, towel, some curiosity and plenty of energy!

Optional AM and/or PM extended care is offered starting at 7:00am and/or ending at 6:00pm
